Ambassador programme rules
Last updated: October 21, 2026
These rules explain how the Chollo ambassador programme works: who can take part, how much you earn, when you get paid and what is not allowed. They complete the contract signed by each ambassador.
1. Organiser
The programme is run by [Razón social o nombre del titular], with tax ID (NIF) [NIF] and registered address at [Domicilio completo]. Contact: hola@cholloapp.com.
2. What the programme is
An ambassador recommends Chollo with their own code. When someone signs up with that code (the "invitee") and pays for their subscription, the ambassador earns a commission in euros.
This is separate from the invitation programme available to every account, described in the general terms. An ambassador also keeps their personal invitation code.
3. Who can be an ambassador
- By invitation only: Chollo chooses its ambassadors. Asking is not enough.
- An adult individual, or an organisation (association, company) represented by an adult.
- The ambassador contract must be signed before using the code.
- Taking part is free: no payment or subscription is required to become or remain an ambassador.
4. The ambassador code
- Each ambassador has a custom code (for example, MARTA or ESNBCN), 4 to 16 letters or digits long.
- The invitee enters it when signing up or within the following 7 days. One code per account, which cannot be changed.
- The code does not apply if the person was already subscribed, had already paid before or already had another code.
- The invitee gets the benefit shown in the app (a discount on their first payment).
5. What the ambassador earns
- The commission is a percentage of the amount actually collected, excluding VAT, for the invitee's first paid months.
- Standard terms: 50% of the first 2 paid months. The exact figures are those in your signed contract and are shown in the app.
- Annual subscription: the commission is calculated on the share of those months within the annual payment (for example, 2/12 of the annual amount excluding VAT).
- Only real payments count. A free month, a trial or a €0 invoice does not generate a commission.
- Cap: at most 20 paid invitees per calendar month (Madrid time), unless your contract sets another figure. Above that, the invitee appears in your statistics but does not generate a commission.
6. Validation period
Each commission stays pending for 30 days from the invitee's payment. If the payment has not been refunded by then, the commission is validated.
7. Refunds
- If the payment is refunded before validation, the commission is cancelled.
- If the commission was already validated or paid, its amount is deducted from the next payment to the ambassador.
8. Payment of commissions
- We pay by bank transfer to the account (IBAN) you give us.
- We pay once your validated commissions add up to at least €20. Below that, they carry over to the next payment.
- If the law requires it, we withhold the applicable Spanish income tax (IRPF) and pay it to the tax authority. Each payment shows the breakdown (gross amount, withholding and net).
- We do not pay advances.
9. Tax and status
- Commissions are income. Each ambassador declares them in their own tax return or in their organisation's.
- When signing, you state your status: individual, self-employed (autónomo), company or association, with your tax ID.
- An individual can receive at most €1,000 per calendar year from this programme. Above that, new commissions are put on hold until you invoice as self-employed or through an organisation. They are then released.
- If your ambassador activity becomes regular, you may need to register as self-employed. Check with an adviser.
10. Advertising: say so
Any post promoting Chollo with your code is advertising. It must say so clearly and visibly from the start, with a label such as "publi", "#ad" or "paid partnership". Also use each social network's branded content tool where available.
11. What is not allowed
- Sending unsolicited messages (spam), on social networks, by email, in groups or in comments.
- Creating fake accounts or asking someone to sign up only to generate commissions.
- Inviting yourself, including with another email, another phone number or another account.
- Misleading advertising: promising offers, prices or benefits that do not exist, or posting fake reviews.
- Using the Chollo name or logo beyond what your contract allows: creating profiles or ads that look official, buying ads on the brand name or registering domains containing it.
- Presenting yourself as an employee or representative of Chollo. An ambassador cannot make commitments on behalf of Chollo.
12. One level only
You only earn from the people who use your code. You never earn from your invitees' invitees or from bringing in other ambassadors.
13. Suspension and exclusion
If you breach these rules or your contract, we may suspend your code or remove you from the programme. In case of fraud:
- commissions obtained through fraud are cancelled, and if already paid, they are deducted from later payments or we will ask you to pay them back;
- legitimate commissions already validated are paid as normal.
You can leave the programme at any time by writing to hola@cholloapp.com. We pay your validated commissions as set out in section 8.
14. Changes to the programme
We may change or close the programme. We give ambassadors at least 15 days' notice. Commissions generated before the change keep the previous terms.
15. Personal data
To run the programme we process your identity, contact details, IBAN, tax status and commissions. Everything is explained in the privacy policy. As an ambassador, you do not receive your invitees' contact details: at most you see their first name, their status and your commissions.
16. Applicable law
These rules are governed by Spanish law. If there is a disagreement, write to us first at hola@cholloapp.com so we can find an amicable solution. Where versions exist in other languages, the Spanish version prevails.
