The T-jove travel card in Barcelona: price, zones and airport

Updated on

The T-jove costs €45.50 in 2026 and gives you 90 consecutive days of unlimited travel. It's for anyone under 30 and has one price for all 7 fare zones. It also covers the metro to the airport (Aeroport T1 and Aeroport T2 stations on the L9 Sud) with no extra charge.

T-jove price in 2026

Since 15 January 2026 the T-jove has cost €45.50, up from €44 in 2025. That price already includes the 50% discount kept in place for 2026 and funded by the Spanish government and the public bodies that make up the ATM. You can check the official details on the ATM page and the TMB page.

Do the maths and it works out at about €0.51 a day. Over 30 days that's roughly €15.17, against €22.80 for a zone 1 T-usual.

Who can use it

You need to be under 30. If you validate it for the first time before your 30th birthday, you can keep using it until it expires. It's personal and carries your name, so bring ID in case of a ticket check.

Before buying, register with T-mobilitat under the «jove» (Young) profile. The card itself can be a personalised plastic card (€4.50) or a virtual wallet on your phone (€1.00), which is for adults only.

Zones and transport

Because the price is the same everywhere, you don't pick a zone. It works on the metro and TMB buses, on the tram and on FGC trains. Rodalies is covered too within the zones of the integrated fare system.

Your 90 days start from the first validation, not from the day you buy it. So you can buy it before your term starts and not lose a day.

For everyday trips around town it's the obvious choice. Heading to Gràcia, the handiest stops are Fontana (L3) and Joanic (L4), and our Gràcia guide lists cheap things to do once you're there.

T-jove and the airport

With a T-jove you can go in and out of Aeroport T1 and Aeroport T2 (L9 Sud) without paying anything extra. That's a real difference from the T-casual, which isn't valid at those two stations. With a T-casual you'd need the €5.90 airport metro ticket.
